Overview
A European market leader in the design, development, and manufacture of two-piece can making equipment, faced a peak workload for the manufacture of industrial ovens for the Chinese market. To meet this demand one of its British suppliers, sought the assistance of CNIM Asia. This partnership enabled the local manufacturing of industrial ovens, including Pin Ovens, Internal Bake Ovens (IBO), and Washer Dry Off Ovens, in China.
Challenge
The project required the production of 28 large industrial ovens over two years, each weighing up to 24 metric tons and needing to meet stringent safety and quality specifications. Key challenges included:
• Strict Safety and Quality Requirements: Ensuring the ovens met European quality and safety standards.
• Short Lead Times: Completing the localization, procurement of raw materials, manufacturing, and delivery within three months for each unit.

Combining Expertise and Ensuring Quality

Timely Delivery
Despite the tight timelines, CNIM Asia successfully completed the localization, manufacturing, and delivery of each unit within three months. The final finished ovens were delivered to various customer sites across Asia.
